The Community Rebuilding Fund

The Community Rebuilding Fund is a collaborative fund administered by Oregon Community Foundation, Ford Family Foundation and Meyer Memorial Trust.

There is currently $6.5m in this fund with a goal of $10m (this is for statewide fire recovery efforts).

The fund will be distributed in two “tracks”:

  • 1.       Track one: Capacity and response (about 25%) – available now and ongoing
  • 2.       Track two: Rebuilding, Recovery and Resiliency  (about 75%) –  to launch in late spring/early summer

This fund, housed at The Oregon Community Foundation pooled from over 1000 donors, is identifying recipients for early capacity funding for communities impacted by the 2020 Oregon wildfires. Community organizations and institutions impacted by the fires can express interest and share needs via the Needs and Capacity Survey by March 31. Please share this survey, or take it if you are a group working on recovery efforts. The Majority of the Fund will be distributed through an open application process beginning Summer 2021. For more information, visit the Oregon Community Foundation.
