VISION – Rooted in history and celebrating our cultures and outstanding natural beauty, we work together to craft the area’s bright future, fostering environmentally responsible and economically sustainable communities.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of going on a guided pontoon boat ride for the McKenzie Community Partnership for the Driftwood Boat Festival! I’ve never floated down the McKenzie before and my inner child was definitely exhilarated! 😆

Camera photos to come later after I sort through them but it was an absolute blast hanging with the community at the festival! I’ve been doing a lot of work for the Partnership and there are many exciting things happening up river that I can’t wait to share with you!

If you’d like to stay updated on events and news, please check out our Facebook page McKenzie Community Partnership, head on over to the website and subscribe to our email newsletter 😍

Since I moved to Oregon in 2018 it has always been my dream to be doing photo work on the river. Living that dream feels incredible 🤩

Our Partners

Featured Partner. O’Brien Memorial Library.

The library in Blue River was a hub for the community – not only in the town itself but in surrounding areas. It was the legacy of an extraordinary woman who embodied the “McKenzie Strong” spirit. Frances O’Brien was a schoolteacher who took it upon herself to ensure that her students had access to quality reading materials, even if it was on the front porch of her house.

The library evolved and grew over many years, but that same spirit of serving the community remained. This is why when the O’Brien Memorial Library burned to the ground in September 2020, there was immediate momentum behind efforts to rebuild it. This will be a long process, but with the goodwill and determination of our community and our many partners and friends, we know we will be able to honor Frances’ memory by building a new library that not only preserves our local history but also embraces the digital age.
