Strube Flats No Longer Accepting Yard Debris
An update from the Willamette National Forest:
Strube Flats on the McKenzie River Ranger District will no longer be accepting organic yard debris for disposal beginning Jan. 15, 2021. This service was temporary in nature and was set up to benefit community cleanup efforts after the Holiday Farm Fire.
The area will be used to stage additional hazard trees removed as part of the Step 2 cleanup.
The Strube Flats area has multiple piles and large log decks. Large log volumes are anticipated to arrive and depart daily with a lot of heavy equipment traffic. People are asked to avoid the 1900-410 Road and Strube Flats area.
