SNAP Program Extended to Dec. 31st

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) extended the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) for wildfire-affected recipients.

This waiver lasts through Dec. 31, 2020, and allows SNAP and DSNAP recipients to use their benefits to buy hot or prepared foods from authorized SNAP retailers that accept SNAP EBT cards. Restaurant purchases are still prohibited.
