McKenzie River Trust Gearing up for In-Stream Restoration at Finn Rock Reach!
Source: McKenzieRiver.org
We are working to improve fish and wildlife habitat on the middle-McKenzie River. In-stream restoration can look messy and is often misunderstood. McKenzie River Trust staff will be presenting on how the project has been designed, what the project will look like during restoration and the expected ecological benefits for fish and wildlife. We are excited to share more about our goals for restoring the floodplain forest at Finn Rock Reach!
McKenzie River Trust would like to invite the community to learn more about upcoming restoration on the Elk Creek side channel at Finn Rock Reach. This work will take place over the summer during a short, salmon-safe, window of time. We’ll be working with local partners and local contractors to improve fish and wildlife habitat on a small section of land adjacent to Highway 126 that is owned and cared for by McKenzie River Trust.
The virtual event is on Wednesday, June 16th 7:00 pm
This event is free but registration is required. Participants will receive a link to the online presentation via email 1-2 days before the event. Registration is free and easy online here.
