Emergency RV Permit Update

We do allow emergency RV permit extensions. As long as there are no outstanding compliance issues on the property, and as long as wastewater is being handled properly, we can re-issue permits for another six-month period.

If your permit has expired, or is getting close, please follow the steps below to renew.

How do I Extend my RV Permit?

If you would like to extend your RV permit, there are two forms to fill out:
Building Permit Extension Request (click to download). In the “justification for extension” box, please also describe how your septic is being handled.

Property Owner Authorization Form (click to download). Some applicants may already have done this when you applied originally. If you did, we do not need a second form. If you are not sure, please fill out the form. This form is to ensure that the person living the RV has permission to be there. If you are the property owner and the person living in the RV, please fill out both the top and bottom sections of the form. If you are a property owner with a friend or relative living on your property, please put the property owner’s information in the top box, and the RV’s occupant in the bottom box.

Once both forms are complete, please email them to me: marianne.nolte@lanecountyor.gov. I’ll get them processed and will send you an electronic copy of the permit document.

What if my RV is in the Floodplain?

If your RV is in the floodplain, you will have gotten a letter from Lane County in late July. The letter states that, before you request to renew your permit in the floodplain, the RV must be removed from the property for a reasonable amount of time and then brought back to the property. Once it’s brought back, we can renew the permit with the forms listed above.

As always, if you have questions about any of this, feel free to email or call.
