Goodpasture Covered Bridge Work to Restrict Nighttime Traffic

Lane County will be replacing the roof of the Goodpasture Covered Bridge beginning in August. The bridge sustained damage in the most recent ice storm and the federal funding to support repairs is now available.

The bridge will be closed on August 9, August 10 and August 11 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. so that the contractor can place scaffolding around the bridge. The contractor will be able to open bridge access if an emergency occurs and McKenzie Fire & Rescue is aware of the planned closure. 

During the project, which is expected to last for three months, traffic lane and limited duration road closures may occur on Goodpasture Road. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and traffic control devices on Highway 126 in front of the bridge. Please use caution and abide by the posted signage and traffic control devices. Lane County appreciates your patience as we perform this important bridge maintenance work.
