Senate Bill 745 Passes Unanimously to the House Floor
Update 19th May
Senate Bill 745 (full details below) has passed out of committee and onto the House Floor for further consideration! This a great step forwards for our fire-ravaged communities.
We Need Your Voices NOW to Help Pass Senate Bill 745!
Visit the link below to view the legislative history of Senate Bill 745 which will allow the Blue River Water District to form a Sanitary District. This is a vital step in advancing the development of a community sanitary system that will enable the town to rebuild better.
With less of our properties dedicated to individual septic systems space would be freed up to build larger homes and outbuildings plus your property prices should increase. A community sanitary system will also allow businesses to prosper here and god knows we need an eatery of some kind and some new businesses to draw people off the highway and spend their money in town.
How You Can Help
There is a Public Hearing on the bill at the committee level this coming Friday 7th May at 10:00am.

Once it’s through the House it goes to the Governor’s desk for her signature. Should all go well and ‘the stars align’ we hope to have the authority to form a Sanitary District by Fall 2021.
