The Lane County Board of Commissioners has approved a fee waiver program for Holiday Farm Fire survivors to help people rebuild.
The fee waivers will be available for a five-year period to the original owners of dwellings at the time they were destroyed. The fee waivers are also available to relatives of the original property owners if ownership has been transferred to a relative since the fire.
Fee waivers will apply to:
- primary residences
- second homes
- temporary medical hardship dwellings
- rental properties
Fees will be waived for:
- building and sanitation permits that may be required to reconstruct or repair lawfully established dwellings that were damaged or destroyed by the Holiday Farm Fire.
- the following Type 1 planning applications when they are required to enable the repair or replacement of a damaged or destroyed dwelling:
- floodplain verification (office)
- floodplain development permit
- fill or removal permit
- riparian declaration
- temporary hardship dwelling
- Type 1 legal lot determination
The fee waiver program is retroactive and the cost of qualifying permits will be reimbursed to those who have already paid.
