Homes for Good Accepting Applications

Source: McKenzieRebuilds.org

We have an important housing announcement for fire survivor families with limited or no income.

Homes for Good will be accepting Project Based Voucher (PBV) waitlist applications for new housing complexes in Eugene and Springfield. Wildfire survivors will be getting preference on the waitlist.

  • The waitlist time varies but those with preference are served first.  The sooner you turn in your application, the closer you are to the top of the list.
  • These units are for people with limited or no income.
    • 2-person households can make no more than $28,000 per year
    • 3-person households can make no more than $31,500 per year
    • 4-person households can make no more than $35,000 per year
    • 6-person households can make no more than $40,600 per year
    • 9-person households can make no more than $49,000 per year
  • You will pay 30 percent of your adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities.
  • Even if your long-term goal is to move back upriver, you can apply for this opportunity. After living in a PBV subsidized unit for 12 months, you can apply to have your subsidy converted to a Section 8 voucher and move to a dwelling of your choice.

These are two-, three-, and four-bedroom units designed for families.

TO APPLY: You must call 541-682-FIRE (3473) or email WildfireRecoveryHelp@LaneCountyOR.gov. All applications for wildfire preference must be submitted through the phone number or email above. APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN NOW AND CLOSE AT 4:00 PM ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9.

*If you would just be applying for yourself or with a partner and you have income you should be able to apply for a different affordable housing opportunity coming soon in Springfield.
