Denied by FEMA? Appeal!

UPDATE: For more info and resources for those denied by FEMA please read our most recent post from McKenzieRebuilds.org on this here!

If you received a letter from FEMA that says you’re ineligible for help, that’s not the last word. A quick fix like providing more information may change FEMA’s decision.

If you have been determined by FEMA to be ineligible you have the right to appeal that decision as long as you do so within 60 days of receiving your determination letter.

You can also appeal if you were approved for financial assistance but don’t think the amount is enough.
